What the maker puts in writing

  • Snap the flexible band around the outside of any bottle
  • Temperature displayed in different colors on the front
  • Reads without opening the bottle
  • Wine and champagne reference chart included

Any bottle, which is rarer than it sounds

A collar fits a neck. A bracelet fits a diameter. A snap band fits whatever it is wrapped around, which is why this is the only item on this shelf that covers champagne and wine with one object.

The chart, and what it is for

Color tells you the band. The chart tells you which band you wanted.

Two items on this shelf ship a chart, and they are the two that understand that a temperature reading without a target is just a number.

What readers ask us

How precise is a color display?

Not very, by design. A liquid-crystal band shows which band the bottle is in rather than a number, which is enough to decide whether to put it back in the fridge. If you want a figure, the collar and bracelet thermometers on this shelf give one.

Why does snapping around the bottle matter?

Because champagne bottles are wider than wine bottles and a collar sized for one will not fit the other. A flexible band fits both, and this is the only item on this shelf that claims any bottle.

Is the chart the same as Le Creuset’s?

Both include a serving-temperature reference; this one is specified as covering wine and champagne. They are the only two items on this shelf that tell you what the number should be.
