HAGSCTA HAGSCTA review

An electric aerator and preserver holding a −40 to −50 kPa vacuum, with pour volume, temperature and pressure on screen.

What it comes down to The only aerator here that shows the vacuum pressure, the pour volume and the wine temperature on one screen — and it holds −40 to −50 kPa, twice the depression the pump on the next shelf publishes.

What the maker puts in writing

  • Aerates, dispenses, preserves and monitors
  • Vacuum −40 kPa to −50 kPa
  • Touchscreen: pour volume, real-time temperature, internal pressure
  • Stainless steel channels, waterproof construction, rechargeable

The only pressure figure on this shelf

Forty to fifty kilopascals of depression.

Wine preservation works by taking oxygen out, so the depth of the vacuum is the specification. On the vacuum pump shelf of this site, one device publishes −0.02 MPa, which converts to −20 kPa.

Twice the vacuum, published. That is a comparison this category almost never allows.

Three readings instead of one

Volume, temperature and pressure. The other aerators here either pour silently or show the volume.

For a bottle that will be opened on Monday and finished on Thursday, the pressure reading is the one that tells you whether the seal has held.

What works, and what does not

Strengths

  • The only device on this shelf that publishes a vacuum pressure range, and it is twice the depression the vacuum pump on the neighboring shelf states
  • The only screen here that shows the wine temperature and the internal pressure, not just the volume poured
  • Stainless channels and waterproof construction, so the parts the wine touches rinse clean

Compromises

  • No adjustable aeration level, which the Vinaera PRO on this shelf makes its headline
  • No pour accuracy figure, where the NutriChef here publishes 5 per cent up to 999 ml
  • The second-most expensive aerator on this shelf, with no bottle-size limits published

Its two closest on cost

Same shelf, nearest price — what the same spend buys instead.

What readers ask us

How strong is −40 to −50 kPa?

Twice what the AIKARO pump on the vacuum-wine-pumps shelf of this site publishes: −0.02 MPa, which is −20 kPa. A deeper vacuum removes more oxygen, which is the whole mechanism of wine preservation. These are the only two pressure figures published anywhere in this category on this site.

Why show the temperature?

Because serving temperature changes a wine more than almost anything else, and the bottle on the table warms through an evening. No other aerator on this shelf measures it.

Does it aerate adjustably?

The listing does not say so, and the Vinaera PRO on this shelf states that other electric aerators offer a fixed level. Assume one setting, pressed once per glass.
