Bowl shape is the whole decision

A Bordeaux glass’s wide bowl exposes more surface area to air than a narrower white-wine glass, which is the actual reason full-bodied reds are served in this shape rather than a style preference. Zwiesel’s Pure Bordeaux is built specifically for that job — it is not a generic, all-purpose wine glass.

Lead-free, and built to survive a dishwasher

Zwiesel markets this crystal as dishwasher-safe, using a lead-free Tritan formulation rather than traditional lead crystal. That combination — real crystal clarity with dishwasher durability — is the main reason to pick this set over cheaper glass or more fragile lead crystal.
