Sphere size
6 cm (2.4 in)

  • Genuinely clear ice — free of the cloudy core standard freezing produces — depends on directional freezing technique, not just the mold shape; the listing's clarity marketing should be read as a description of intent, not a guarantee

The largest spheres, and the most reviewed mold

At 6 cm (2.4 in), these are the biggest ice spheres confirmed in this comparison — larger still than the HONYAO mold’s 5 cm (2 in) size — and this listing carries the largest body of buyer feedback among the molds researched.

A clarity claim worth understanding correctly

Genuinely clear ice comes from directional freezing — insulating a mold on most sides so it freezes from one direction, pushing trapped air and minerals ahead of the ice front rather than trapping them throughout. A standard silicone mold frozen from all sides, as this one appears to be, will still generally show some cloudiness at the center regardless of marketing language, unless a specific directional-freezing method is used alongside it.
